Star Power
I'm not one for movie star worship. But the more I find out about the lovely and talented Michelle Williams, the more I am impressed. You might remember her from that little show some years back, Dawson's Creek? Well since then, she married a mega movie star, had a daughter, dealt with the death of said mega star and made many, many interesting indie and under-the-radar movies. From my perspective, she is one classy lady both in her style and in the way she handles the roller coaster of her life.
Watch these movies and you will recognize the powerful acting abilities of Ms. Williams.

Kitty Daisy & Lewis
Sunday as a Monday
So, instead of spending my Sunday collecting my thoughts and writing, like I really should be, I am, in fact, working. So I will leave you with a little Mary Oliver a la Milla, as an insight as to where I wished I was at the moment.
Sleeping in the Forest
I thought the earth remembered me,
she took me back so tenderly,
arranging her dark skirts, her pockets
full of lichens and seeds.
I slept as never before, a stone on the river bed,
nothing between me and the white fire of the stars
but my thoughts, and they floated light as moths
among the branches of the perfect trees.
All night I heard the small kingdoms
breathing around me, the insects,
and the birds who do their work in the darkness.
All night I rose and fell, as if in water,
grappling with a luminous doom. By morning
I had vanished at least a dozen times
into something better.

When It Rains It Pours
Today I woke up to this winter's first truly gray day. A tad depressing, because around these parts that normally means we won't really see the sun for any extended period of time for months. So, instead of dwelling, I am giving you some pretty little numbers I've seen recently.
These ladies (and gentleman) certainly know how to dress for fall.

To Do
1. Finish this monster of a book. Its like carrying around several bricks in my purse. But oh so good... Harry Potter for the older, intellectual crowd.
2. Start knitting some gloves for the impending winter. I bought this beautiful black 50's swing coat, but it has princess sleeves (pictures to come soon), so I need to cover up my chilly forearms. I want something along these lines, except a little longer.
3. Start baking at home again. Working at a bakery and being around bread all day, you would think I don't want to even utter that horrid word when I get home. But there is something so comforting and pleasant in baking a loaf on a lazy Sunday. This Sunday, I'm hoping to make some honey whole wheat.
